Jea winced when Joong Hoon bit her lower lip really hard, causing it to bruise. ‘Strike 1.’
She squirmed when she felt his callus-covered hands run down her waist. ‘Strike 2.’
His fingers climbed up her thighs to a place they weren’t supposed to be. Horrified she freed herself from his wimpy grip and ran out the door.
Jea sat down on the bench in the park. She thought about her very brief makeout session with Joong Hoon and frowned.
‘Why can’t he be more like Joon?’ A smile automatically appeared on her face at the very thought of him. Her eyes drifted to the happy children playing tag. Suddenly, she was blindfolded by a pair of hands.
“Guess who,” the voice whispered into her ear. Upon hearing the voice, a broad smile crossed her face.
“If I guess right, are you going to give me a reward?” Jea asked playfully.
“Maybe,” he teased back and gently bit her ear.
“It’s Joon-oppa, right?” She giggled while the hands uncovered her eyes. “Can we go walk around? I’ve been sitting here for a long time waiting for you,” she pouted.
“Sure, let me get some water first,” Joon replied while jogging over to the fountain. “You didn’t tell me which park you were at, so I ran to all the other ones to look for you.”
As he bent down to drink, Jea noticed how his tongue was so… sexy. Quietly she tiptoed over, preparing to surprise him.
Blushing at what she was about to do, she squeezed her eyes shut and kissed him, licking his tongue.
Surprised, Joon quickly looked up. She broke away from the kiss in embarrassment. “I’m sorry,” she laughed awkwardly. “I don’t know what I was thinking.”
He shook his head, entwining his fingers with hers. “Let’s go.”
They strolled around in silence, looking at the peaceful scenery that reminded themselves of their nostalgic childhood. He stole a glance at Jea’s bothered face.
Something’s wrong with her today and Joon was determined to find out what. Spotting an ice cream truck, he nudged her arm. “Yah, there’s an ice cream truck over there! Let’s go get ice cream.”
She only smiled and followed him. ‘Yup, something is definitely wrong,’ Joon thought as he received a small vanilla cone. Turning to Jea, he apologized while they got back onto the small path around the park. “Sorry, I only brought enough money for one cone, I forgot my wallet,” he lied.
“Mmm, that’s alright,” Jea finally looked up, her eyes shyly gazing at him. Noticing a dab of ice cream on his cheek, she licked it off. “Y-you had ice cream on your face,” blushing, she looked down at the ground and continued walking.
Eventually they had finished the cone. Noticing that the sun was about to set, Joon ran down a barely noticeable trail, dragging Jea along.
“Oppa, where are we-YAH!” She squealed when Joon had picked her up bridal-style. “What are you doing?!”
“You walked enough today,” he grinned as he raced up a flight of stairs that lead to a hill that overlooked the city. “Look! The sun is about to set.”
Jea’s eyes widened as they saw the scene before her: a beautiful golden sun slowly sinking into the sea of buildings that transformed into mere silhouettes from the magnificence of the warm sunlight. A blend of reds, pinks and oranges covered the once-blue sky.
Joon tilted her chin up, his tender eyes looking deeply into hers. “Tell me what’s wrong,” he asked, his hand caressing her face. Noticing the bruise on her lower lip, he kissed her, licking the teeth marks embedded in her soft lips. Wrapping his arm around her waist, he pulled her in closer.
A tear rolled down Jea’s face. ‘Of all things, why did I have to fall in love with you?’
“Unnie!” In Young exclaimed as an exhausted Jea entered the door. Noticing the bruise on her lip, In Young slyly asked, “Ooh, who did that to you?”
“Joong Hoon,” Jea replied, oblivious to In Young’s angry scowl, and stumbled into her room.
“Oh…” In Young clenched her fist till her knuckles turned white. Whipping out her cellphone, she quickly sent Joon a text, steam rising from her ears.
‘You better not have any plans tomorrow. We’re going on a double date and you better leave a mark on her. Or else.’
